Boy Scouts of America: Camp Big Timber

Situated on 76 acres of open fields and woodland, Camp Big Timber is strategically located to provide Cub Scout camping activities to the greater Chicago area. The existing K-Lodge and other site facilities are dated and lack the modern amenities expected by today’s scouting parents. Further, the lack of updated meeting and support spaces restrict the ability of the Three Fires Council to rent camp facilities to outside groups.

Our master plan addresses the need to elevate the overall appeal of camp, with centralized facilities, modern restrooms, comfortable gathering spaces, ad ease of movement while maintaining the authentic feel and experience of Boy Scout camping and outdoor adventure.
