Harley-Davidson York Tour Center

This muscular facility perfectly captures the industrial heritage that is at the core of the Harley-Davidson identity. Built to honor Harley-Davidson’s rich history, the Tour Center is a thoroughly modern facility designed to bring the company into its second century of operation.

Located in York, Pennsylvania, the Harley-Davidson Vehicle Operations facility provides machining, fabrication, paint, and final assembly of the Softail and Touring motorcycles. Attracting over 120,000 visitors a year, the York facility provides a unique look into the making of an American icon.

The tour center interior includes an entry lobby, exhibit space, high definition theater, and retail store. As with all Harley-Davidson projects, only authentic and durable materials that reflect the company heritage were used. Exposed structural steel beams and ducts, galvanized corrugated metal deck, warehouse-style lighting, recycled rubber flooring, along with the use of polished chrome, steel, and leather accents reinforce the industrial qualities of the space and create a look that is honest, rugged, and distinctly Harley-Davidson.

Visitors entering the tour center pass through a courtyard highlighted by a muscular, 44-ft tall gray concrete brick and steel tower prominently displaying the distinctive Harley-Davidson bar and shield logo.
