An architect and TKWA Partner, Vince Micha has played a central role in many of the firm’s most significant design projects, including serving as Project Manager for the national AIA COTE Top Ten Green Project Award winner - the addition to Frank Lloyd Wright’s First Unitarian Society Meeting House in Madison, Wisconsin. In 2016, Vince was Project Manager for Charmant Hotel in La Crosse, Wisconsin—a $30 million adaptive re-use of a former candy factory warehouse into an upscale boutique hotel. The Charmant subsequently received the Wisconsin Historical Society Preservation Award, the state’s highest honor for historic work.
Vince is one of TKWA’s most experienced Project Architects, with specific expertise in managing complex, multi-discipline projects in the areas of adaptive re-use, rehabilitation, and application of historic tax credits, as well as with religious institutions, hospitality, retail, and multi-family housing.
Vince has been an invited speaker at numerous regional conferences and events on topics related to Green Roof Design, Rooftop Additions to Historic Buildings, and ‘Adding Without Subtracting’ to Historic Buildings. He is a frequent guest lecturer on historic preservation and sustainable building practices at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee School of Architecture and Urban Planning.
